The School District of Milton is promoting inclusively and community connection for all with new communication boards on all the playgrounds.

Each board prominently features “core words” – a select set of words, found to make up roughly 80% of everyday communication.

Speech and Language Pathologist Bethany Christon says they help non-verbal students communicate.

This simple yet effective tool can facilitate a variety of interactions, allowing students to express themselves, connect with peers, and play collaboratively.
