The City of Beloit aims to help aspiring homeowners learn the basics of home ownership at an upcoming resource fair.

Grants Administrator Megan McBride says the fair runs April 30th from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Beloit Historical Society, and will feature presenters from Acts Housing, Community Action, NeighborWorks, Legal Action of Wisconsin, and the city of Beloit.

McBride says the event will give information on becoming a homeowner, home maintenance and improvement, housing rights, and secure housing and self-sufficiency as people transition away from homelessness.

The event is free, and no registration is required.
