Kevin Leavy has been elected as the new Chair of the Rock County Board of Supervisors.

Leavy says his experience on the Beloit City Council and as the Board’s most recent Vice Chair have him well suited for the role, and he wants to do his best to move the county forward, as well as make sure those on the board and in the community have their voices heard.

Former Chair Richard Bostwick turned down a nomination for the position, but was then later voted to be the Vice Chair of the County Board.

Leavy was previously the board’s Vice Chair, and has filled in on numerous occasions for Bostwick as chair for meetings in the past.
