Rock County Judge Derek Grubb accepted a guilty plea from 35-year-old Tyrone Young on Friday afternoon to a charge of second degree intentional homicide.
Five additional charges of first degree recklessly endangering safety were dismissed but read into the record.
According to the criminal complaint, Beloit police responded to the 1300 block of Porter Avenue after Young called 911. Young claimed that he had been shot by Siphannya “Bee” Bousar, so he “shot her back and believed she was deceased.”
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Young with a shoulder injury, Bousar dead from a gunshot to the head, and five children with a dog inside a bedroom.
Young was originally charged with first-degree intentional homicide. He faces up to 60 years in prison at sentencing on August 2nd.
