Janesville Parker and Janesville Craig will each be getting full time activity director positions after this week’s school board vote.

Superintendent Mark Holzman says says they’re transitioning current part-time athletic directors and teachers to a full time role, moving them from pseudo-administrator roles to someone who is dedicated full time to not just athletics but extracurriculars.

District Athletic Director Jim McClowry says they have a lot of talented staff members at the high school level but they’re stretched very thing, so adding the positions will give kids better opportunities to pursue their passions.

The positions will take effect for the upcoming school year, and they’ll report to McClowry.
