A 25-year-old East Troy man is charged with second degree sexual assault of a child in Rock county Court.

Christopher Van Zandt appeared before Court Commissioner Jack Hoag Tuesday where he waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over for trial.

According to the criminal complaint, Van Zandt forcibly kissed and touched a 13-year-old girl he has known for close to a decade.

Van Zandt is due back in Rock County Court on February 23rd for his arraignment.

He’s currently being held in the Rock County Jail on a $2,000 cash bond.
