Beloit police arrested two Merrill Elementary School employees for disorderly conduct toward a young student stemming from an incident that occurred last week.

Police say the incident occurred on Feb. 5. but wasn’t reported to officers until Feb. 8. Police did not give any specific details on what the employees’ conduct was.

A 53-year-old Steven Jordon of Rockford man turned himself in to police last Friday and Vida Bevineau, a 61-year-old Janesville woman, turned herself in Tuesday.

Police said the Beloit School District is cooperating with a police investigation. The district has launched an internal investigation.

Both face charges of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
