The City of Janesville’s first responders are showing their support for the Rock River Valley Blood Center.

Donor Recruiter Rick Popp says the Battle of the Badges pits police officers and firefighters against each other in a blood donation competition.

The public is invited to make a blood donation during the event on February 20th from 11:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Fire Station number one in Janesville.

This year, all donors will receive a free t-shirt while supplies last, and free items from Culvers, Firehouse Subs, Applebee’s and more.
