The Hedberg Public Library in Janesville launches a new program aimed at getting teenagers reading.

Young Adult Librarian Gabrielle Draxler says their 100 Books Before Graduation program is modeled after one they have for younger kids, but as kids get older they sometimes see reading as more of chore, so they want to make it fun again for high school students.

Draxler says they’ll be using the Beanstack app to track progress, and on the first day of freshman year they’ll log all of the books, audiobooks, and more they’ve read and they come in at certain milestones to get prizes.
