The National Intercollegiate Flying Association’s SAFECON event returns to the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in May.

Airport Director Greg Cullen says the event brings in about 100 planes and 600 to 700 people.

College and universities from around the country will bringing their airplanes and practicing for a few weeks before competing in an event May 13th – 17th.

The Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport hosted the SAFECON event for the first time in 2019.
