The Rock County Medical Examiner’s office is releasing the name of the individual who died in a residential fire in Janesville Friday.

According to a release, Daniel M. Gargula was pronounced deceased at the scene of the fire, which took place in the 1300 block of North Randall Avenue.

Preliminary results of an examination confirm that Gargula’s death was the result of injuries sustained in the fire.

The incident remains under investigation by the City of Janesville Police, City of Janesville Fire, and the Rock County Medical Examiner’s office.
