Thanksgiving may be Thursday but it’s not too early to start thinking about and preparing for winter weather.

Janesville Operations Director Maggie Darr says their preparation for the weather goes as far back as the summer, making sure they have a full enough roster of drivers and also making sure their equipment and vehicles are operational and ready for the winter.

Darr says its inevitable that a winter weather emergency is declared, and when it is there is not on street parking so people who rely on that will need to take advantage of free public parking in city lots.
