A number of Rock County agencies are set to receive a portion of $200,000 in funds from an opioid settlement.
Janesville Mobilizing 4 Change Director Xandi Finn says they’re excited to be on the list and will be receiving $140,000 in total, with $70,000 coming this year and another $70,000 on the way next year.
Finn says they’ll use the money to implement “Teen Intervene”, which is an evidence based curriculum for intervention services for kids who get caught drinking or using substances.
Finn says they’ll also use the funds to re-implement their Youth Leadership Groups.
Beloit’s Youth 2 Youth 4 Change, the Milton Youth Coalition, and Building a Safer Evansville each will get 10,000 a year for two years.
