There’s a spot on the Milton Historic Preservation Commission open for a high school student in the Milton School District.

Consultant Kleighton Klos says the commission is looking for someone interested in the history of the community, wants to be more involved in the community, and can give the city and the commission feedback on how to engage with young people when it comes to history.

Klos says this is the first time the Historic Preservation Commission is asking for a student to be on the commission, and she hopes other commissions get on board as it’s important for young people to be able to voice their opinion.
