A 30-year-old Janesville man is under arrest, accused of firing off a gun during a domestic disturbance.

Janesville Police say officers were dispatched to a 911 call at a residence on the 900 block of Riverside Drive shortly after 4:30 Saturday morning.

Arriving officers could hear a verbal disturbance happening inside the home.

Officers made contact with people inside the house and learned that Derrick Stevenson was intoxicated and had armed himself with two firearms. Stevenson is accused of firing one of the guns inside the home during the disturbance.

Officers were able to escort the victims away from the home and take Stevenson into custody without incident. No one was hurt.

Stevenson is being held on tentative charges of three counts of first degree recklessly endangering safety, second degree recklessly endangering safety, intoxicated use of a firearm, disorderly conduct, three counts of intimidating a victim, and four counts of false imprisonment.
