The Janesville School District is taking a new approach to fundraising for its Delivering Bags of Hope program.

Public Information Officer Patrick Gasper says for the first time they’ll be holding a concert fundraiser, and are welcoming Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press to the Janesville Performing Arts Center on October 12th.

Gasper says in years past they’ve used a cooking demonstration show, but because that person wasn’t going to be available they had to think outside the box a bit and come up with something new.

Delivering Bags of Hope is a program which is a food distribution event that provides 2 weeks worth of groceries for 350 of SDJ’s neediest families over the winter break.
