“Coffee and Connecting” is giving Beloit School District residents a better chance at meeting their still relatively new superintendent.

Dr. Willie Garrison says when typically when you start at a new district, you have lots of opportunities to meet and talk with members of the community, but he didn’t get the chance to do that since he started in the middle of the school year and had to hit the ground running.

Garrison says developing relationships with community members is crucial, as the success of the school feeds into the success of the district and vice versa.

“Coffee and Connecting” takes place from 5:30 to 7pm Thursday at the Beloit Public Library.
