A few rough stretches of road in Beloit are getting some attention this summer.

The City of Beloit plans the complete reconstruction of the 700 blocks of Elm and Oak Street, and the 500 block of Roosevelt Avenue this summer.

Project Engineer Dennis Weiland says the proposed work includes the roads, curbs, curb ramps, and driveway aprons. The sidewalks along the street will be replaced as needed.

Weiland says all of the water main will be updated to an eight inch PVC pipe and any lead laterals will be replaced up to the property lines.

Citizens are invited to learn more about the project during a public information meeting from 5:00 until 6:00 Wednesday evening at Hackett Elementary School.
