Anissa Welch has defeated challenger Tom Chesmore to earn a fifth term as the Mayor of Milton.

Welch says addressing how shared revenue from the state is distributed remains a top priority, along with advocating for Milton to get tax dollars brought back so tax burdens on residents can be lessened.

Welch says since she was first elected in 2015, she’s learned to build foundations so the community can be setup for success and that you have to be resilient and adaptable to move your community forward.

Welch defeated challenger Chesmore by more than 500 votes with over 63% of the vote.
