Rock County saw an impressive amount of voters out for Tuesday’s Spring Election.

County Clerk Lisa Tollefson says out of 94,625 registered voters in Rock County, 44,571 turned out to vote, good for more than 47% of registered voters.

Tollefson says all the municipalities that had multiple tabulators used them in order to get all the votes counted and to also deal with absentee and mail in ballots.

Tollefson says voter turnout slowed a bit during the end of the evening when severe storms moved into the area.
