The Walworth County Public Works Department is providing several opportunities for businesses and residents to dispose of hazardous materials and electronics next month.

Public Works Director Richard Hough says the first event for businesses that generate less than 220 pounds of hazardous waste a month will take place from 8:00 a.m. until noon on October 7th at the Walworth County Public Works Garage in Elkhorn.

Hough says residents do not need to call ahead to dispose of hazardous waste and electronics on October 7th from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the Whitewater Public Works Complex or the Town of Linn Garage; and October 8th from 8:00 a.m. until noon at the Walworth County Public Works Department.

Hough says a list of the hundreds of items that are accepted can be found on Walworth County’s website.
