A Janesville shooting suspect appears in Court for the first time.

41-year-old Nathan Williams of Beloit is charged with two counts of attempted first degree intentional homicide, first degree recklessly endangering safety, and substantial battery; in addition to a number of unrelated drug charges.

Williams is accused of shooting at a woman on Sunday in the 2300 block of Rockport Road after she tried breaking up a disturbance between him and another person.

According to the criminal complaint a six year old child was sleeping inside a house that was struck by gunfire.

On Tuesday afternoon Court Commissioner Jack Hoag set Williams’ bail at $100,000 for both the shooting case and the unrelated drug case.

He’s due back in court for his preliminary hearing on August 26th.
