Two men are arrested following a June 29th break-in at a home outside of Clinton.

48-year-old William J. Hoefle of Freeport, Illinois allegedly broke into a home in the 13000 block of East Highway 67, took a four-wheeler for a ride and showered in the home.

Hoefle and another man, 25-year-old Archie J. Saros of Hayward, were found less than two miles from the residence seven hours after running away from the scene.

After Rock County sheriff’s deputies received the report of a naked man walking along Highway 67, Hoefle is found sitting naked in a culvert along Highway 67.

Both men face felony charges of burglary of a dwelling and misdemeanor charges of theft and damage to property.

They each face a maximum prison sentence of 15 years, a $50,000 fine or both for the burglary charge.
