The 23-year-old Madison man accused of shooting at another vehicle on the Interstate near Janesville in a road rage incident is sentenced in Rock County Court.

Brandon McKoy was originally charged with first degree recklessly endangering safety in connection with the incident in the northbound lanes in May of last year.

The victim told police that McKoy cut him off and break checked him, and when he went to pass McKoy, a shot was fired that smashed the back window of the victim’s vehicle.

In May McKoy plead guilty to second degree recklessly endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.

In court Thursday afternoon Judge John Wood sentenced McKoy to four years of probation with six months of conditional jail time.
