With one in four households in the United States suffering from food insecurity, the Rock County Public Health Department is predicting an increased need for food resources in the coming years.

Public Health Strategist Courtney Nathan says food insecurity is the lack of access to enough food for every member of a household without utilizing emergency assistance.

Nathan says a dramatic decrease in grocery stores mixed with rising foods costs is leading to food insecurity in Rock County.

Rock County residents can help by participating in a Food Access Survey at https://www.co.rock.wi.us/Home/Components/FormBuilder/FormBuilder/ade46554fa374564915fd9e619bae8cf/733 through June 15th.
