A local hospital is helping Wisconsin lead the nation in coordinating care for stroke victims.  SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital Janesville has been named a Coverdell Stroke Champion hospital by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.  Hospital officials say Janesville earned the recognition by continuous collaboration with DHS to collect and monitor stroke data, with the shared goal of improving services and patient outcomes.  in 2012, Wisconsin DHS became one of only 11 states funded to participate in the Coverdell Stroke Program.
