A local legislator is concerned a number of Republican proposals could inhibit some residents access to voting. Mark Spreitzer of Beloit is particularly concerned about a bill to withdraw the indefinite confined status access to absentee ballots. The Democrat says this is often used by the elderly and infirmed. He’s also concerned about a proposal to only allow one absentee ballot drop box per community. He says it might work fine in a small town, but not a city like Milwaukee.
