Even though a number of new priority groups become eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine starting Monday, they’ll likely have to wait. Rock County Health officials say anyone new will have to wait for the previous priority groups to be vaccinated, which includes about half the 65 and over age group. Rock County Environmental Health Director Rick Wietersen says indicators are the vaccine supply will be increasing. He says anyone newly eligible can get put on the waiting list by filling out a form on the vaccine page of the Rock County Health Department’s website. Those groups becoming eligible Monday include education, childcare staff, long term care patients, those in congregate living settings, utility and communication infrastructure workers, and food supply chain workers.
