The City of Beloit is about six months into the search for a new permanent police chief.
Interim Chief Thomas Stigler says GovHR has narrowed the field of applicants down to about half a dozen candidates.
Stigler confirmed that he is one of the finalists still in the running.
Stigler says there’s no timeline on when the PFC will make a decision.
The process began when former Police Chief David Zibolski left to take a job in North Dakota last September.
