Janesville police are asking the public to help identify a suspect in a Wednesday evening armed robbery.

A roughly six-foot tall, bald Black male wearing all black entered the Lion’s Quick Mart on Racine Street at around 6:45 p.m. and displayed a revolver.

The clerk told officers the man asked for cash and lottery tickets and left the gas station in a white Chevrolet Impala LTZ, believed to be 2016 or newer.

Police issued a Wisconsin Crime Alert Network for the southern and central portions of the state, asking for any witnesses or anyone with outdoor video footage to contact Detective Chris Buescher at 608-755-3147.
