Rock County Human Services Director Kate Luster says the number of reported elder abuse cases have been on the rise in recent years. Luster says the adult protective services unit assisted 253 victims last year alone. She calls the issue serious. She reported the situation to the county board recently in support of a resolution recognizing Monday as World Elder Abuse Awareness day.
