Meeting of the Historical Society of Walworth and Big Foot Prairie

A program about the history of the Schwinn family and its involvement in the bicycle industry will be presented at the next regular quarterly meeting of the Historical Society of Walworth and Big Foot Prairie on Thursday, April 18.

The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. in the Kelly Freeman Community Room of Walworth Memorial Library, 525 Kenosha St., Walworth. Entry to the room is on the west side of the library.

The program will be presented by Ed Schwinn of Lake Geneva. The family bicycle company was founded in 1895. He served as chairman and CEO beginning in 1979 until the company was sold in 1993.

Everyone is invited to the meeting, which is free of charge. Society membership is not required to attend.
