The Janesville Performing Arts Center (JPAC) will be hosting the BODEANS as part of its 2024 Gala Concert/Event, held at the Performing Arts Center on May 4th, 2024.
The PAC is thrilled to be bringing in this popular band, who just so happened to form in Waukesha, WI! “Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams”, the band’s critically acclaimed debut album, was released in 1986. In 1993, their album “Go Slow Down” was released. The first song from the album, “Closer to Free” was a hit and selected as the theme song to the television series “Party of Five”. This song peaked at number 16 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1996. Additional hits include “Good Things”, “Fadeaway”, and “Still the Night”. They have nearly 120,000 monthly followers on Spotify and still listened to widely today.
Once a year JPAC strives to bring in a larger artist for its annual fundraising event. Previous artists have included Tony Bennett, Gin Blossoms, Lonestar, Leann Rimes, Jane Lynch, and Colin Mochrie.
THE BODEANS performing at this year’s event continues that tradition of hosting an annual event featuring a recognizable artist. “We are excited to be bringing in this talented group, with roots from Wisconsin for JPAC’s annual gala this year. JPAC has been available to this community for 20 years and this event always proves to be a great way to support the PAC in a fun, entertaining, and memorable way.” Says JPAC Executive Director, Nathan Burkart.
The concert will take place on May 4th , 2024, at 8:00pm. Tickets range between $50-70 for the general public.
