
The Beloit Board of Education addresses the violence that occurred Saturday night outside a district sporting event.
At their meeting this week, Board President Megan Miller made a statement acknowledging the community’s grief and urging people to come together and set a good example for the children who are watching.
After a 19-year-old man was shot to death outside at Beloit Memorial High School basketball game last weekend district officials moved to curb ticket sales at the door for sporting events, instead having a will call list with each athlete allowed three guests.
Several community members spoke out against new district protocols that limit the number of spectators at games.
