Police say an officer was investigating a suspicious vehicle about 3:30 a.m Saturday when it took off and crashed through one of the security gates. A short chase followed and the suspect vehicle ended up disabled after crashing through a residential fence on Johnson Street. Officers say the driver, identified as Jared Russell, escaped on foot. Police did arrest a passenger, a 57-year-old Janesville woman, on charges of being Party to the Crime of Burglary. Police say Russell is wanted on charges including burglary, fleeing, and bail jumping.
