A review of calls for service is a bit of a surprise for Janesville police. Officer Chad Sullivan says over all, for the period of March 15th through April 25, the total number of calls were down. Contrary to expectation, Sullivan says the reported incidents of child abuse, domestic violence, and alcohol related complaints did not increase. He does say the number of traffic citations on Milton Avenue climbed significantly. As far as the over-all reduction in calls for service, Sullivan says he hopes people are doing their best to solve their own issues, rather than calling on police during the health crisis.
