3-day, family friendly, indoor/outdoor event in Darlington’s Veterans Park on Main Street and in the Lafayette County Historical and Genealogy Society Museum at 525 Main Street. This is a celebration of Lafayette County’s history and people including historical re-enactors portraying specific figures significant to the past, Fur Trade Era Encampment, Civil War Artillery Unit (cannons), Civil War Cavalry Unit (horse), and special displays including a quilt show, and ancient artifacts. There will be hands-on activities including archery, shooting, tomahawk throwing and more. Food will include Darlington Optimist Club Cheese Curds, Lions Club Brat Stand and Lucky Cow Coffee and Gelato Treats. School groups are encouraged to attend on Friday and LCHGS can pay for the transportation. Saturday there are two live music events: The First Brigade Band (historically accurate Civil War Band) will play from 1:30 to 3pm and local favorites The Blackbridge Boys will play starting at 6pm, a blend of many types of music.
