The Janesville Police Department is making the public aware of a of convicted sex offender who is moving in to the community.

Thomas J. Saldana, 27, will be living at 3232 Thornton Drive in Janesville beginning on Dec. 31.

Saldana was convicted of possession of child pornography in 2015 and first-degree sexual assault of a child in 2016.

While living in Janesville, Saldana must have face-to-face contact with law enforcement. He is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with minors or to consume drugs.

He must comply with standard sex offender rules, including submitting to electronic monitoring and registering as a sex offender for life.
