Set aside some time to check out the work of local artists before the end of the year.

The Janesville Art League Holiday Art Show and Sale will open next Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Janesville Performing Arts Center gallery.

More than 50 artists have created more than 150 pieces of artwork, all of which is on sale.

The gallery will be open on Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m., during the Janesville Jolly Jingle from noon to 4 on December 7th and 8th, and before performances at JPAC.

The gallery is free and open to the public, as is the opening reception.

That event, which will feature live music, hors d’oeuvres, and a celebration of scholarship winners and winnings artists, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at the gallery.

The show will run through Jan. 5.
