A pedestrian is dead after being struck crossing a rural road in Jefferson County.

The person was trying to cross Coffee Road in the town of Farmington between Jefferson and Johnson Creek at about 5:30 (Thursday) night.

A vehicle traveling north hit the person, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not hurt and is cooperating with the investigation.
