A 39-year-old Janesville will spend 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to fifth offense operating while intoxicated.

According to the criminal complaint, a Janesville Police officer stopped a vehicle driven by Matthew Hudson shortly after 2:00 a.m. in January after observing him nearly collide with another vehicle.

When the officer asked Hudson how much he had to drink he said, “Enough.” Hudson then told the officer he had been at the bar. When asked what bar he said, “All of them.”

Hudson told the officer “I’m drunk, that’s fine,” and refused to complete field sobriety tests.

The officer observed a bottle of whiskey, a bottle of vodka, and two beer inside Hudson’s vehicle.

In addition to the prison time, on Thursday Rock County Judge Jeffrey Kuglitsch ordered Hudson to serve three years of extended supervision.
