A 20-year-old Beloit man is convicted of sexually assaulting a woman he had just met after she gave him permission to give her a back massage.

Following a two-day trial this week a Rock County jury found Jacob Thompson guilty of third degree sexual assault, obstructing an officer, and two counts of bail jumping.

According to the criminal complaint, Thompson took the victim to his mother’s basement after meeting her on Facebook, and had sex with her after she told him no.

Thompson faces over 20 years in prison at sentencing on on November 22nd.
