
GIFTS Men’s Shelter in Janesville is working to meet the needs of the homeless community ho don’t have a bed at the shelter.
GIFTS Men’s Shelter Executive Director MaryAnn Raash says the usually have less clients during the warmer months. Currently they are at capacity with 37 clients.
Raash says GIFTS is responding with a new program called Soap & Hope where anyone came come the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month to receive a free meal, wash their clothes, and have a shower.
GIFTS is turning to the community to help support all of its programs with a golf outing fundraiser on September 4th at 10:00 a.m. at Prairie Woods Golf Course.
