A weekend sexual assault is captured on the victim’s own home security camera.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim was drinking heavily with her roommate and 36-year-old Dontiez Etchin early Saturday morning at a residence on the 300 block of South Main Street when she went to her room to pass out.

The victim awoke later to find Etchin raping her. Etchin took off when confronted and the victim called police.

Janesville Police say the victim had a security camera in her bedroom which captured the assault.

Etchin made his initial appearance in Rock County Court this week where cash bond was set at $30,000.

Etchin is due back in Rock County Court for his preliminary hearing on August 5th.
