A number of Rock County bodies of water are experiencing high levels of E. Coli.

The Rock Public Health Department reports testing lest week showed high levels of the gastrointestinal illness-causing bacteria on the Yahara River, Badfish Creek, Turtle Creek, and the Rock River.

Environmental Health Manager Rick Wietersen says the health department did additional testing earlier this week and hopes the results say the elevated bacteria levels have subsided.

Wietersen says you can get information on the most recent rests of recreational waters in Rock County by visiting the Rock County Public Health Department’s website.
