Janesville fire officials are looking into the cause of a residential fire on the city’s west side.  Firefighters were called to the 400 block of North Pearl Street a little before 8:00 p.m. Thursday.  The home is described as a vacant rental property under renovation.  Officials say the fire was confined to the attack, but the residence also sustained extensive smoke and water damage.  No one was reported hurt.
