A 19-year-old from Beloit who was out on bail after being accused of burglarizing a vacant school is now facing new child sexual assault charges.

Haiden Wescott was charged in Rock County Court this week with second degree sexual assault of a child and felony bail jumping.

According to a criminal complaint, the victim met Wescott when he skateboarded past her house pm June 10th. Wescott later gave the girl a cell phone so they could communicate.

The victim reported that she was at a friend’s house when they snuck Wescott through the window. Wescott is accused of kissing and groping the girl as she repeatedly asked him to stop.

Wescott made his initial appearance in Rock County Court this week where cash bail was set at $10,000.
