When temperatures rise, there’s ways for people to save energy while still remaining cool.

Alliant Energy Communications Specialist Chris Caporale says people can turn their thermostat up a few degrees to stay comfortable while saving energy, close the shades and use ceiling fans, and unplug unused electronics.

Caporale says customers can also enroll in Alliant Energy’s “My Account” feature to track their energy usage and set up high-usage alerts.

Temps on Monday and Tuesday are expected to crawl into the mid to upper 90s.
