About 10 homes are damaged, and the Department of Public Works building sustains over $100,000 in damage after an EF-0 tornado touched down in Milton on Sunday.

Police Chief Brandon Sachse says he has been in talks with the Rock County Emergency Management Bureau about whether a state of emergency will need to be declared in order to access Wisconsin disaster relief funds.

The National Weather Service says the tornado traveled for about 12 miles after beginning west of Janesville and then tracking northeast toward Milton where it went through the High School area and the north central part of town.
