The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says a tornado may have touched down in Milton Sunday.

Authorities say Milton Police and multiple other law enforcement units responded to the area just before 5:30 p.m. and found multiple downed trees and power lines. Multiple residences were also found to have sustained structural damage.

Alliant Energy and We Energies responded to repair downed power lines. The Rock County Highway Department, Milton Public Works, and town of Koshkonong Public Works all responded to clear the roadways of downed trees.

The area will be surveyed in the next coming days by the National Weather Service.
